Narrabundah Atar Calculator Tutorial

Step 1. Calculating Z score for session

1. Hi, firstly you'll have to calculate your average Z score for a session, this calculator is provided next page after this tutorial, you can press "next button below" to go to that page and skip tutorial.
2. In the image above, I used an example of a student's best session in Specialist Maths, As you can see the weighting is "80", "20" representing the weight of each assessment, in maths you usually have a 80% finals and 20% inclass, different for other classes e.g English is 50, 50, youll have to write it down.
3. On my left hand side I have my Z scores e.g 2 and 1.4 for each task. THESE ARE NOT MY SCORES! Once you entered both Z score and weighting click "calculate". The weighted average will tell you the weighted Z score for that session which you'll use to calculate you aggregate score for that subject.

Step 2.
1. Once you have your Z score from your previous tab, enter that in and select your subject, e.g "Specialist Maths". Then you can press "Estimate Aggregate Score" and let the computor do its work.
2. Make sure you have 4 subject's Z scores ready, 3 Major subjects, 1 Minor, which you can calculate again on the previous tab. Then you need to calculate your aggregate score for all 4 of those subjects.
3. Once you have your 4 aggregate scores, you might wanna write them down or remember them

3. Final Step Atar calculation: THIS IS NOT MY ATAR (Just random data)

1. You know the aggregates for those subjects you've calculated, and I've told you to remember? Put them in that box and press "Calculate Total Aggregate Score", the total aggregate is calculated by adding 3 Major Aggregates and 0.6 of your Minor
2. Finally just write your total aggregate in the Estimate Atar Box, click "Estimate ATAR, and it will output the predicted atar. It's a rough prediction based on the aggregates you've given using your Z score (Can be from your best session for upper limit, or your worst session Z scores for the lower limit).

Finally if you are ready just press the "Next" button below to get started:
